Meet our Board of Directors
We are rabbis and sheikhs, entrepreneurs and lawyers, dentists and digital strategists. We come from different faiths, different backgrounds, different parts of the world. What we share is a refusal to accept permanent conflict as the only option. Our board brings together people who’ve actually built things—businesses, communities, interfaith organizations, and trust across divides.

M. David Kamrat
FounderChief Executive Officer
Moshe David Kamrat has been engaged in Jewish–Muslim interfaith work for over 25 years. Born in Yafo, Israel, to parents who survived the Holocaust, he moved to New York at the age of five. His early life experiences, shaped by both loss and resilience, deeply influenced his lifelong commitment to fostering peace and understanding among diverse communities.
Following the events of September 11, 2001, David founded JamAndAllInterfaith.org, serving as its President until 2005. In recognition of his dedication to peacebuilding, he was honored with the title rodef shalom (“pursuer of peace”) by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi. (of blessed memory)
In 1980, after choosing not to pursue the rabbinate, David and his wife Tovah established a kibbutz-style community on 210 acres in upstate New York, centered on shared values, cooperation, and simple living.
Professionally, David spent over four decades in construction, development, and telecommunications, working across both public and private sectors. In 2010, he founded Planet Verde LLC, an Oregon-based food distribution company inspired by the principles of sustainable, local, and organic agriculture.
Now retired from business, David has dedicated himself fully to the vision of Mesa City—a proposed model community in the Israel–Palestine region where Jews, Muslims, people of all faiths, and secular individuals can live together in peace. The initiative is grounded in nonviolence, compassionate listening, and the creation of a thriving, cooperative economy that supports both residents and the broader region.
